A vim plugin for DNA sequences and sequencing files | bioinformatics
This started as a joke colorscheme for vim where every character is the same color except for ACGT, but then I realized that the colors were actually useful for helping me visually parse DNA sequences.

A defense of vim + tmux | bioinformatics
This probably shouldn’t be tagged as “bioinformatics”, but I am asked by computational biologists about which IDE I use more often than I'd expect—sometimes by newer programmers who are looking for advice, and sometimes by experienced programmers who are just making small talk.
